Brief About Adekunle Ajasin University
Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko Ondo State was formally known as the Ondo State University, But the institution was later named after Chief Michael Ajasin an erstwhile Governor of the state who endorse the establishment of the university in 1982.
The university was officially founded in December 1999, with the motto learning and service. Still, in 1999, the University was relocated to Akungba-Akoko, after the creation of Ekiti State from Ondo State.
Right now it has over 20,000 ( twenty thousand) students, six faculties, and over 75 programs it offers. Having said that, the leadership of the institution rests on the shoulder of Professor IGE, Olugbenga, the Vice Chancellor, of AAUA.
It is aimed at providing knowledge and skill that will help people to become self-reliant in an environment where learning, teaching, and research can take place. The institution’s major focus is to offer sufficient training to individuals who have careers in teacher education and are ready to dedicate, themselves to contribute their quota to the good and development of the country.
Adekunle Ajasin University UTME Admission Requirements
Writing JAMB and Post UTME is one thing, but getting admission into the university is another thing altogether. So for you to gain admission into AAUA, UTME applicants must meet the requirements below:
- The expected applicant must be up to sixteen (16) years of age.
- applicants must also possess at least (5) five Credits) pass in their Ordinary Level result (s), in either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects related to their course of study. Two sitting ordinary-level result is not accepted by AAUA.
If for instance, a student wants to study Medicine, he or she must have credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry,
- Applicants’ scores in the JAMB UTME examination, must reach at least 180 and above.
- Applicants must choose subject combinations that tally with their courses of study.
- He/she must meet the cut-off marks for their courses of study in order to gain admission into the university.

AAUA Direct Entry Admission Requirements
The following admission requirements must be met by every Direct Entry applicant before they are considered for admission by AAUA:
- You must show the JAMB Direct Entry form from JAMB to apply.
- 1. Expected applicant must be up to sixteen (16) years of age.
- applicants must also possess at least (5) five Credits) pass in their Ordinary Level result (s), in either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects related to their course of study. Two sitting ordinary-level results will not be accepted at AAUA.
- Direct Entry, applicants must have any of the certificates below: OND, NCE, Cambridge A level, IJMB, BSc, and HND.
