CRUTECH Admission List – The Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), was established in August 2002, by Cross River State Bill No. 9 which was amended recently as Bill No. 6 of 2004. The University leadership is on the shoulder of Prof. Augustine Oko Angba the current Vice-Chancellor of the University.
The citadel of advanced learning is an offspring of three mergers, former tertiary institutions including; The Polytechnic, Calabar, the College of Education, Akamkpa, and the Ibrahim Babangida College of Agriculture, Ovonum, in Obubra which is owned by the Government of Cross River State.
CRUTECH as it’s fondly called was established with the vision of pursuing basic training and research and imparting research skills to equip Nigerians of various backgrounds in all areas of technology and to provide enormous natural resources for the sustainable development of Cross River State. The university is known for its corporate perpetual succession and a common seal.
Currently, the Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH has four (4) established campuses in different locations of the state. They are;
- Calabar Campus, which is the Main Campus, is located at EkpoAbasi Street in Calabar South Local Government Area,
- Obubra Campus is located at Ovonum in Obubra Local Government Area,
- Ogoja Campus which is located at Ogoja in Ogoja Local Government Area,
- Okuku Campus that’s located at Okuku in Yala Local Government Area, along Ogoja – Abakaliki road.
About the Admission List
After post-UTME, every institution is expected to release an admission list. An admission list, is, therefore, a list that contains the names of students who took part in any Nigerian university post-UTME and was successful in the screening process. Also, the list is for only students who met the cut-off mark of the university, after writing the school post-UTME.

- Log in with your JAMB registration number and Surname in the columns provided (write Reg. number in uppercase).

Alternatively, prospective students can also check their Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) Admission list/status from the JAMB portal or through the Central Admission Checking Portal (CAPS), following steps by step procedures listed below:
Step 1: To check your admission status via the JAMB portal, visit: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
Step 2: Enter the JAMB profile with your username and your password

All successful students offered admission, to their different institutions are expected to go to the JAMB portal to print out their admission letters after they have made a payment of one thousand (N1,000) naira only.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal is always open for both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry to print their admission letters.
A Quick Reminder: if you are a new user, before you print your admission letter you will be required to create a profile through a Sign-Up Page, and for to create a profile, you will need your first name, surname, Mobile No, State of origin, Local Government Area of Origin, valid email address, and password, then you click on the Sign-Up tab. Each student is not allowed to have more than one profile. If you do not know how to print your admission letter, then follow these simple steps below:
- Log into the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
- Enter your Email Address and Password.
- Click the Admission Letter button.
- When you have done this, a transaction ID is generated for this service, which will be displayed on the confirmation page screen.
- Review the details displayed on the Confirmation Page, Also, copy the transaction ID displayed in bold red font, you will need the transaction ID for future references.
- If you wish to make payment immediately with your card, click the continue button immediately. For ATM, Cash at the Bank or Quickteller, the transaction ID will be required.
- Enter your card details and click on the Pay button, An SMS and email of your unique transaction ID and payment status will be sent to you after payment. Then click on the Continue button.
- When you are done with the payment, you will be asked to provide:
- Your year of Exam
- And your JAMB Registration Number.
- Enter the information accurately, now you can print your Admission letter.

What Students Should do After they Have been offered Admission into CRUTECH?
Students who successfully find their names in the admission list are advised to go to the JAMB CAPS portal to ACCEPT or REJECT the offer. If you are among the successful candidates, on the school list, you are expected to proceed to CRUTECH official Portal to accept or reject the admission offer.
Failure to accept your admission offer and make the necessary payment of fees, like acceptance fee, will lead to automatic forfeiture of admission. All successful students should also note that all payments are to be made online through www.crutech.edu.ng

After accepting your admission offer, go ahead and make the necessary payment of fees. The first fee you will make is the payment of the acceptance fee. this feels very important, because failure to pay the acceptance fee, will lead to automatic forfeiture of admission.
