- At the time of application, candidates must reach the age of sixteen (16) years
- All applicants must meet the JAMB minimum required cut-off mark for admission into the university
- Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in their SSCE, whether WAEC, NECO, GCE, or its equivalent.
- The candidate in question must also have credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- All applicants must choose the correct UTME subject combinations
- Only two sittings SSCE will be accepted
