The cost of FUTO’s Post-UTME Screening Form is 2,000 Naira Only. 

All Candidates who meet the stated eligibility criteria and wish to take part in the Post-UTME Screening Exercise are advised to make payment of the non-refundable fee (N2000) via the University’s Portal after generating their RRR Number.

FUTO’s Post-UTME Screening Date for the 2023/2024 Academic Session

The Official date has not yet been set for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri

However, the registration time frame for FUTO’s 2023/2024 Post-UTME Screening Exercise runs from 23rd September 2023 – 31st October 2023.

FUTO Post UTME & DE Screening Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Federal University of Technology, Owerri Post UTME/DE Screening Exercise, you must have selected the University as your first Choice Institution during your UTME registration.

Also, you must have obtained a minimum score of 180 in the just concluded UTME Exams to be eligible. 

Selection of the right combination of courses required for your intended course of study is a must if you must be eligible for FUTO’s Screening Exercise.

To meet eligibility requirements, all Candidates must possess at least five O’Level in subjects relevant to their intended course of study. These must be obtained with a number of sittings not exceeding two. 

Additionally, all Direct Entry Candidates must possess a grade not lower than a Lower Credit at National Diploma and Higher Diploma Levels or a Merit at NCE Level.

All Candidates must ensure that they upload the same O’Level results both on FUTO’s Portal and the Official JAMB Website. This is because any irregularities in the results of any other information may result in disqualification of the affected Candidate

Also, ensure that you provide only authentic and valid documents as any false declarations or cases of forgery shall not be taken lightly.

Steps Of Application for FUTO Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form

First, all eligible candidates are mandated to make a processing fee payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) via REMITA to the University.

After making the compulsory payment, proceed with the following steps to continue your application procedures:

  1. Login to the University’s Official Website: futo.edu.ng
  2. Next, Click on Prospective students.
  3. Locate the link 2023/2024 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application and click on it.
  4. Input your JAMB Registration Number to enable you to generate a Payment Invoice that will contain the RRR Number which you will need to effect payment. 
  5. At this point, you can proceed to a Bank to make a payment or you can pay with your ATM Card. 
  6. Go back to the Application Page and re-enter your JAMB Registration Number.
  7. Complete the accompanying form as required.
  8. Up next, enter your O’Level Results accurately. If you are using two sittings (Combined results), indicate as required. 
  9. Next, go through all your entries to ensure that they are correct.
  10. If all supplied information is accurate, go ahead and submit your application  
  11. Next, Print your acknowledgment slip and stash it away safely.
  12. When done with the above steps, you will have to await further directives and information from the University body.

The Nature of FUTO’s Screening Exercise

FUTO’s 2023/2024 Post-UTME/DE Screening Exercise will be established and based on all validated JAMB Points as well as O’Level Results uploaded on the CAPS (Central Admissions Processing System) of JAMB

  1. Kindly ensure to enter an accurate and valid phone number and email address for further communication from the University.
  2. It is mandatory to upload your O’Level Results on the JAMB Portal prior to Application for the Screening Exercise.
  3. Any Candidates who fall short of Registration Deadlines shall not be allowed to participate in the Screening Exercise and stand to be disqualified. 
  4. As such, ensure to complete every Registration Procedure before the stated deadlines to avoid risking disqualification from the Screening Exercise.

FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES: 

All Direct Entry(DE) Candidates shall, in addition to the above (STEP 1 – STEP 4) do the following:

  • Kindly make sure that your Academic Transcript gets to the Registrar of The Federal University of Technology, Owerri on or before October 31st, 2023.

Also, note that any candidates who fail to submit their Academic Transcripts will not be considered for Admission to the University.

Would I be considered for Admission at FUTO if I fail post-UTME?

FUTO takes its Post-UTME Screening Exercise very seriously. As such, if you fail this exercise, you shall not be considered for Admission into FUTO. 

In this case, it does not matter what you scored in your JAMB Exams.

How many questions are in the FUTO Post UTME exam?

In the course of writing FUTO’s Post UTME Exams, you shall be expected to attempt 25 questions within a time frame of 30 minutes.

The questions are usually drawn from the five core science subjects; Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and English Language.

Sometimes, the number of questions may be evenly distributed across the five subjects (implying five questions from each subject) but that is entirely the discretion of the University.
