FULOKOJA Admission Requirements And Courses Offered – The Federal University Lokoja was created alongside eight other Federal Universities that were established on the 16th day of February 2011 by the then President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The purpose of creating this University, in addition to enhancing equal access to qualitative Higher Education, was to erect Educational Facilities that can enforce Nigeria’s drive for all-round development.
The creation of the University was also to supply the much-needed knowledge and manpower foundation to foster competitiveness amongst the general populace.
Dr (Mrs) Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie, a well-experienced Administrator is the University’s current Registrar.
FULOKOJA is situated in Lokoja, the capital city of Kogi State.
The city is a very significant one in Nigeria and is often dubbed “The confluence town” as the Rivers Niger and Benue converge at Lokoja
FULOKOJA currently runs two campuses. The Permanent Site (Main Campus) is situated along the Lokoja-Okene Expressway, Felele, Lokoja with the Adankolo Campus (College of Health Sciences) being situated behind the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, Kogi State.
The University offers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs (M.Sc and Ph.D.)
Although the University is relatively new, it has continued to grow steadily over the years and continues to remain a center of learning and character grooming.

Admission Requirements For Admission Into FULOKOJA,
All Individuals seeking to pursue any of the available Programs at FULOKOJA should meet the following requisite conditions.
For those seeking admission to FULOKOJA through JAMB UTME:
- A minimum of 5 O’Level Credits (SSCE/GCE) obtained in no more than two sittings.
- Selection of the correct course combination for the intended course of study during JAMB UTME Registration.
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum score of 180 in the just concluded JAMB UTME Exams to be considered for Admission to the University.
- All Candidates to be considered must have registered FULOKOJA, as their first-choice Institution
- Prospective Candidates must duly undergo the FULOKOJA Post-UTME Screening Exercise in order to be considered eligible for admission into the University.
- All Applicants must be at least 16 years old in the year of Application.
For Direct Entry (DE) 2024/2025 Students
If seeking Admission into the University through Direct Entry (DE), you must meet the following criteria to be considered for Admission to the University:
- All Candidates must obtain a minimum of 5 O’Level Credits (SSCE/GCE) obtained in no more than two sittings.
- Prospective Candidates must have passed two ‘A’ level/IJMB Subjects. The Subjects must relate to their intended field of Study
- Applicants must have obtained Passes in JUPEB/A subjects related to the intended field of Study to be considered for Admission into the University.
- Depending upon your choice of course of study at the University, a degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in a related discipline may also be needed.
- All applicants must also have purchased the FULOKOJA Direct Entry Form from JAMB. They also must have been duly registered and made all requisite payments on the FULOKOJA Portal.
- Prospective Candidates must have passed the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma, or any other Advanced Certificate with a minimum of a merit pass

Is Medicine accredited at Federal University, Lokoja?
The Pre-Clinical Program of the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences at the Federal University, Lokoja has since been accredited by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

Is FULOKOJA conducting post-UTME screening in 2024?

At the Federal University, Lokoja, students pay different sums for fees depending on their Faculties
For the 2024/2025 Academic Session, The Faculty of Science is mandated to pay N65,000 for School Fees.
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, however, are expected to pay N64,600 in fees

The management of The University has made provisions for Hostel Accommodation within the Campus.
