An Overview of MTN Foundation
The MTN Foundation Scholarship 2024, is given based on the Youth Development Cause, it is a yearly award that aims at acknowledging and rewarding the best and high-performing students in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions.
They seek to support the best, full-time students at higher institutions like Universities, Colleges of Education, and Polytechnics in Nigeria. The scholarship helps those who would not be able to further their higher Education Financially.
The funds cover the scholar’s tuition, books, stipends, and allowance. It is for 500 eligible students at a maximum.
The Scholarship is usually renewed every year until the graduation of the student, as long as they hold a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or equivalent.
Required for MTN Scholarship 2024
All interested applicants who want to apply for the scholarship will have to submit the following document for confirmation. The details will be confirmed and the shortlisted candidate will be asked for an examination.

- Current Passport (2)

This application is only open for students who have completed their second semester 200 level examinations going to the 300 level, and students currently in their 300 level.

Grade Point Average
The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
- It is required that Candidates from Public Universities, and Colleges of Education must have a minimum CGPA score of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5.
- Students in Public Polytechnics must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 from the Ordinary National Diploma Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma Program.
- The Direct Entry level students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 from the OND program and should secure admission into the 300 level in a Public University.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
- Blind Students from Universities or Colleges of Education must have a minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 2.5.
- Blind Students from Public Polytechnics must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 from the OND Program and should secure admission into the Higher National Diploma Program.
How to Apply for the MTN Foundation Scholarship 2024/2025
When applying, note that the application is a two-step process and you have to follow as guided in the post.
For the first step: Applicants should have received the Username and Password
- From the site, click on Create an account option.
- In the form, Fill in your Name, E-mail, and password, and click on the Submit option.
- Login into the website using the e-mail and the password you used earlier.
The moment you’re done with the first step, then move to the 2nd step.
- In the logging options, enter your e-mail and password and choose the Login option.
- After login, to begin the application you will have to duplicate the 12-digit PIN jointly with your page then click on the “Apply for Scholarship” option.
- When that is done, the 12-digit OIN will be required, fill in the 12-digit PIN and click on the Apply Now option.
- Then fill in all information needed on the Application Form then click on the option.
- Print out the form after completing the application.
How much is the MTN scholarship 2024, and what does the Scholarship Cover for candidates?
The MTN online scholarship amount is N200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand) Naira. The scholarship covers tuition fees, book allowance, and accommodation. The scholarship funds are renewable as long as you keep a CGPA of 3.5 or it’s equal.
