How to print NYSC call-up letter in 2024

For those of us who have not yet gotten to that phase, I am sure you would like to know what the NYSC call-up letter is all about.

NYSC call-up letter is a document from NYSC (National Youth Service Corps), sent to all prospective corps member, on the document, contain the state of deployment, and date of reporting to the camp for the orientation exercise, it also shows the officer in charge and the address of the orientation camp.

  • Click on the “LOGIN HERE” icon.

  • Enter your registered e-mail and correct password.
  • Then click on “Resume” to log in to your account.

On the ‘Existing User Login’, log in with your registered Email address and password 

  • When you’ve logged into your dashboard, click “Print Call-Up Letter” to view your call-up letter and see where NYSC posted you and when you will be leaving for camp.

  • If you want to print out your call-up letter,  all you need to do is save it on your phone or computer and take it to where you can print it.

Apart from the NYSC Call up letter, you will need to get your Green Card. Here are the steps on how to print your NYSC green card online with your phone:

  • Open your phone, click on the phone browser
  • Visit the NYSC online login dashboard on the phone browser.
  • Then click on the Login Here button
  • Enter your registered NYSC email address and your correct password
  • Click on the Resume button
  • Select the Print Slip button
  • Save the NYSC green card to your phone or computer.
  • Print your NYSC green card at a computer business center
  • Makeup to five (5) copies of your signed NYSC green card

The important document you need to check after Getting Your NYSC Call-Up Letter

  • Print the original copy of the NYSC call-up letter to make about 3 or more photocopies as you would need to submit some duplicates when you get to the camp.
  • When you are printing a green card and call-up letter, it should be printed with a colored printer and not a Black and White printer, please.
  • Make sure all the necessary documents that will be needed are available. What you need to take with you is your NYSC call-up letter,  Your Green card, your statement of result or original certificate, and your student ID card. Make sure your statement of result carries your school stamp and not a fake one to avoid implications.
  • To be on the safe side, please put all these documents in a water-resistant file and seal them properly just in case of unforeseen circumstances, and do not laminate your green card or call-up letter.
  • Check and confirm your state of deployment very well to avoid mistakes.

Take note of the following

  • Those who schooled or who studied in Nigeria should bring the following to camp:
    • Your Degree/HND Certificates or Statement of Results, Personal Identity Card from your Institution of graduation.
    • Those Foreign graduates should make sure to verify original copies of all their uploaded credentials, it will be needed.
    • Travel documents, including an International passport, will be required from those who studied out of the country.
  • Foreign graduates are to ensure that academic paper(s) in Languages other than English must be translated into English accordingly; both versions of whatever language was used there must be presented for verification at the camp.

 

  • Medical/veterinary Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, and Public Environmental Health graduates should bring their professional licenses or certificates of full registration issued by their professional bodies to the National Youth Service Corps to the camp.

 

  • Failure to report to the Camp service corp as directed in your call-up letter, or if there be any refusal of availability for service corp, such person will be prosecuted in line to what Provisions of section 13, subsection 1a and b of the NYSC Act say,  chapter N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004. And such prosecution has to take place, except for some tangible reasons, other than that, you will face the consequences. 

 

  • Another thing you should take note of is that anyone who is not eligible to participate in NYSC, and he or she attempted to so participate, such person shall be prosecuted according to Section 13, sub-section 2a and b of NYSC Act, Cap N84, in Laws of the Federation of Nigeria. The same goes for one who has been issued a National Youth Service Corps certificate and will be prosecuted.

How many absences are allowed in NYSC?

The total number of days that can be granted leave, for whatever reason does not exit 14 days in any service year. A  member may be recalled from his leave at short notice.
