FUNAAB’s Post UTME Screening Date For 2023/2024

The official date for the Post UTME screening Exercise of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta has not yet been fixed.

However, Applications for FUNAAB’s Post UTME Exercise are going to run between Monday, 7th November 2023 to Friday, 25th November 2023

FUNAAB UTME & DE Screening Eligibility Criteria

General Requirements for O’Level Candidates:

  • All Applicants must have obtained a minimum of five(5) O’Level Credits in a number of sittings not exceeding two in NABTEB/GCE/NECO/SSCE. They are also encouraged to check the FUNAAB Brochure for confirmation of the University’s admission requirements into any of their respective academic programs prior to filling out their e-application form.

For UTME Candidates:

  • All Candidates must have selected the Federal University of Abeokuta (FUNAAB) as their first choice institution during their 2023/2024 UTME registration, in addition to scoring a minimum of 160 in the UTME examination.

Engineering, Agriculture, Physical Sciences, Biosciences, and Veterinary Medicine Programmes

  • Also, in addition to meeting the admission eligibility criteria, every candidate is expected to have obtained five SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at no more than two sittings.
  • An O’Level pass in Physics is only acceptable for Agricultural Academic Programmes.
  • An O’Level Pass in Biology can only be accepted for Agricultural and FUNAAB doesn’t accept Agricultural Science in place of Biology.
  • All candidates that are applying for Water Resources Management must possess a credit in Geography.

Entrepreneurial Studies

  • A minimum of five (5) O’ Level Credits are required in subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, a vocational/science subject, and any of Geography, Economics, or other commercial subjects.

Entrepreneurial Studies

  • Candidates must have obtained at least five (5) O’level Credits in Mathematics, English Language, Biology or Agricultural Science, a science/vocational subject, and any of Economics. Geography or other commercial subjects.

Steps Of Application for FUNAAB Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form

  • All eligible candidates are required to enter the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta’s admission portal, then click on Login. To log in, you are required to input your JAMB UTME or JAMB DE Registration Number in order to generate their application invoice containing their RRR number required for the payment of the non-refundable fee of two thousand Naira (N2,000), plus REMITA charges.
  • Next, candidates are demanded to proceed to any bank of their choosing that processes REMITA payments to make the prescribed payment. The payment can also be made via debit card or Internet banking methods.
  • Once done with the payment, candidates are to revert to the university’s admission portal, log in and fill out the e-application form as applicable.
  • Where required, ensure that you input the correct contact information as well as previous academic results (SSCE/OND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB) as applicable.
  • On the acknowledgment page which happens to be the last page, all candidates are expected to carefully go through their application, make any needed corrections and proceed to click on the ‘submit’ button. After that, candidates should print out and safely keep the Application form.
  • Applications for FUNAAB’s Post UTME Exercise are going to run between Monday, 7th November 2023 to Friday, 25th November 2023.
  • Note that correction of wrongly entered data attracts an extra charge of N1,000 only but the change can only be effected before the closing date of 25th November 2023 after which no complaints of wrong personal data entries shall be entertained.   • Uploading wrong contact details, O’Level Results, OND/NCE/HND/A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB Results shall amount to immediate suspension.

NOTE:

  • Candidates can also decide to choose the Part-time options of their preferred courses, where available. More details about this are present on the university’s portal.
  • More information on the post-UTME screening exercise shall be communicated in due course.
  • It is also compulsory that all Direct Entry candidates who wish to take part in the University’s Admission Screening also hand in their transcripts (OND/HND/NCE candidates), or a certified true copy of the statement of results duly signed and stamped by the Director/HOD from the issuing institution to the registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta latest on Friday, 9th December 2023.
  • Only candidates who have completed their application before the stipulated deadline are going to be considered.

Is FUNAAB conducting Post-UTME Screening in 2023?

Yes 

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, shall conduct Post-UTME Screening Exercise to sort out and subsequently admit qualified Candidates.

At the moment, FUNAAB’s post-UTME screening form goes for N2000 only.

At FUNAAB, newly admitted students are mandated to pay their acceptance fees upon admission into the Institution.

The Acceptance fee cost at FUNAAB is N35,700 only and is a one-time, compulsory, and non-refundable payment for newly admitted students at the university.
