Overview of Ekiti State University (EKSU)
Ekiti State University is located at Ado Ekiti, and it is owned and managed by the state government, Ekiti State was initially established as Obafemi Awolowo University, Ado-Ekiti on 30 March 1982 by Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin administration, the first civilian governor of Ondo State.
The university is made up of 23,000 undergraduates and 2,000 postgraduates, amounting to 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) students in totality. The university is led and managed by the Vice Chancellor of the school, Professor Edward Olorunsola Olanipekun.
The vision of the university is to graduate well-equipped students who will handle contemporary socioeconomic and environmental challenges, with the use of modern research techniques both in science, technology and humanities, that are driven by Information and Communication Technology, while providing a high-quality educational experience that will shape teaching and research for the development of our cultures, societies and economies is her main mission.
EKSU UTME Admission Requirements
In this section, you will find the requirements every prospective student of EKSU must meet before they are offered admission, for Post-UTME.
- Age Range: Prospective applicants must be up to sixteen (16) years of age and above
- O’Level: Only two sitting O’level is not accepted. Must have 5 credit passes either in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB if accepted, including English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects related to their course of study.
- JAMB Score: students must score up to 160 cut-off mark as UTME candidate
- Subject Combinations: Also, they must have the right subject combinations in line with your course of study
Admission Requirement for EKSU Direct Entry
In this section, you will find the requirements every prospective student of EKSU must meet before they are offered admission, for Direct Entry students only.
JAMB: must possess the JAMB Direct Entry form from the JAMB official website is required from Direct Entry students.
Age Range: Prospective applicants must be up to sixteen (16) years of age and above
O’Level: Only two sitting O’level is not accepted. And 5 credit passes either in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB are accepted, including English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects related to their course of study.
Direct Entry: The following certificates are required from direct entry students: OND, NCE, Cambridge A level, IJMB, BSc, and HND
