Brief Overview Of The Tuskers Republic
The University of Uyo is nicknamed the Tusker’s Republic it is also known as UNIUYO. It is located in the heart of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
The University of Uyo was formerly known as the Cross Rivers State University but gained its current name and independence in 1991.
The university is a public university with its vice chancellor Professor Nyaudoh Ndaeyo. The school currently has about thousand five hundred and twenty-one academic staff, administering duties to about twenty-five thousand six hundred and seventy-six graduates and three thousand three hundred thirty-four undergraduates.
The university currently has about four campuses with twelve faculties.
