If you wrote the Post-UTME and you are waiting for admission to come through, the next thing you should be thinking about is how much you will pay as your acceptance fee and school fee. And that is why this article is here today to address the issue of the school fee schedule.

Understand that in everything you do or you will do as a student, money has a very crucial part to play and that is why you should not joke with matters that partner to money. And as a fresh student, it is important that you know how much you are to pay and have a budget for it so that you will not fall into financial crises.

That is why in this article we are going to focus on all the fees you will need to pay as a new student of CUSTECH. They include; school fees, hostel accommodation fees, acceptance fees, and the procedures on how to pay for your acceptance fee.

Brief History About Confluence University of Science and Technology

The establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, started with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, he was the one who spearheaded the project.

The desire of founding the Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Osara, was birthed as a result of the recurrent ordeal of gaining admissions into Nigerian Universities by the citizens of the Kogi State, especially the secondary school leavers who desired to pursue careers in science and technology related specializations, and other dreams in the higher institutions.

As if that was not enough, some of the citizens of Kogi State who scored impressive high marks in UTME were still finding it difficult to secure admissions into their dream courses such as medicine, engineering, and pharmacy, becoming commonplace and increasingly traumatizing. Therefore, the establishment of the school arose, in order to curb to the bearest minimum the challenges they were facing.

CUSTECH is a Kogi State-owned university that was established as the 51st State University in Nigeria. The school is situated along Okene- Kabba Road if you are coming from the Lokoja axis. Confluence University of Science and Technology was established in November 2020.

The School of Preliminary Studies of Kogi State Polytechnic was the first program that the university started in 2021. The pioneer Vice Chancellor of the institution is Engr. Professor Salawu Sadiku is the one who started the first academic session of the university in December 2020.

It was after the creation of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), that the Kogi State House of Assembly, approved that The Kogi State Polytechnic campus in Osara be moved to the Itakpe. And that settles it.

The university started with 235 students as the first set of students admitted into the university, who commenced its first full-time academic session on their permanent site at Osara, in June 2021.

The university started with just 12 (twelve) programs, they include Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Cyber security science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, and Chemistry.

The mission is to provide good conducive teaching and learning environment for teachers and learners in sustaining critical thinking culture as well as discover knowledge preservation and exchange, and promote strategic values for the intellectual development of humanity in general and the national large, while its vision is to become a reputable world-class institution that will produce highly skilled, globally competitive graduates who will become practical problem-solvers.

What is Acceptance Fee?

An acceptance fee is a compulsory fee that is paid by every newly admitted student into any Nigerian university. Acceptance fee is an indication that a particular student in question has accepted the admission offered to him or her by the university. But failure to comply with the payment will result in forfeiture of the admission by the student.

However, how much is the CUSTECH acceptance fee? Every student who has been offered admission into CUSTECH is to pay the sum of 20,000 (twenty thousand naira only).

Acceptance Fee Payment Procedure

There is no rigid stipulated acceptance fee payment procedure, but below is how it works:

Log in to www.custech.edu.ng
The acceptance fee will just be displayed automatically immediately after you are done updating your profile and have downloaded your admission letter.
And to download your log on to the Letter of admission printed from the JAMB website.
After you have logged into the above link, you will see a payment tab
Click on the payment tab, and make your payment following the instructions.
You can use cards, mobile money accounts, bank accounts,s or USSD, to make your payment.
