The Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), as it was known earlier before now, is located in the town of Wudil. The process of establishing the institution began in 1999 and run down till 2003.
The effort to establish this citadel of learning started with the then Governor of Kano state, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, during his first tenure between 1999 through 2003.
A few years ago, the university was ranked 123rd on the list of best universities in Nigeria. In 2022, the university was renamed Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, by the Governor of the state Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Right now the university is no longer to be referred to as Kano University of Science & Technology but as Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST). The university is situated.
The university’s first academic session activities commenced in the year 2001. The prestigious citadel of learning is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
The university is a state-owned public university, with the Motto: learn, work, and worship. The university leadership is anchored on Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, the Vice Chancellor of the University.
The Kanu State University of Science and Technology has 46 (forty-six) National Universities Council courses, and the school has about six faculties which include; the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science and the College of Medicine. KUST UTME Admission Requirements
The under-listed admission requirement must be met by every candidate who is expected to be offered admission into the Kano University of Science and Technology in the 2023/2024 academic session.
- The minimum age candidates must reach is 16 years and above
- He or she must have at least 5 (five) Credits passes in their O’level result (s), and English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects related to their course of study
- Candidates must score not score less than 160 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination.
- Only candidates who took the KUST post-UTME screening examination and scored up to the school cut-off marks will be considered for admission.
- Any SSCE that is more than one sitting results is unaccepted for admission into the Kano University of Science and Technology
- Candidates must also ensure that they choose the correct subject combination for their courses.
- All candidates must reach the cut-off mark accepted by the school for the course to be studied before, they will be considered for admission into the university.
KUST Direct Entry Admission Requirements
The under-listed admission requirement must be met by every candidate who is expected to be offered admission into the Kano University of Science and Technology in the 2023/2024 academic session.
- The minimum age candidates must reach is 16 years and above
