Eligibility Requirements for Masters of Philosophy

For you to be qualified for admission to the Masters of Philosophy at the University of Lagos, you must meet the following admission requirements:

• For bachelor’s degree honors, holders, you have to possess at least a Second Class (Upper Division), from the University of Lagos or reputable universities accepted by UNILAG.
• If you are a Master’s degree holder, then you need to have a minimum CGPA of at least 3.50.
• Before you apply as a master’s degree holder, you have to ensure that you contact your prospective department so they can guide you, before you apply.

• Log into UNILAG official website at http://spgs.unilag.edu.ng/spgs-application-form-for-20232024-session/ 
•  Click on the 2023/2024 Applications button
• Select Postgraduate option
• Fill out the form and after that proceed to the payment
• After payment, print your payment slip
• Then return to the site and continue with your application
• Use the payment reference number to complete the form
• After that confirm your details and then submit

How much is the Application Form?

All the postgraduate applicants for admission, are expected to pay an application fee before they apply for admission. However, they are to pay the sum of N30,000 (Thirty thousand naira) only to the school account. The fee is a non-refundable fee.
