FUTMINNA Post UTME & DE Screening Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Federal University of Technology, Minna Post UTME/DE Screening Exercise, you must have selected the University as your first Choice Institution during your UTME registration.
Also, you must have obtained a minimum score of 160 in the just concluded UTME Exams to be eligible. Note that some courses have higher cut-off marks but the University’s general cut-off point is 160.
Eligible candidates must have achieved the Univesity-set minimum cut-off mark for their pre-selected courses.
Selection of the right combination of courses required for your intended course of study is a must if you must be eligible for FUTMINNA’s Screening Exercise.
However, Candidates who do not meet the just mentioned requirement above shall have the opportunity to switch to any other courses for which they meet the requirements. A processing fee of N2000 is payable to facilitate this procedure.
To meet eligibility requirements, all Candidates must possess at least five O’Level in subjects relevant to their intended course of study. These must be obtained with a number of sittings not exceeding two.
Additionally, all Direct Entry Candidates must possess a grade not lower than a Lower Credit at National Diploma and Higher Diploma Levels or a Merit at NCE Level.
All Candidates must ensure that they upload the same O’Level results both on FUTMINNA’s Portal and the Official JAMB Website. This is because any irregularities in the results of any other information may result in disqualification of the affected Candidate
Also, ensure that you provide only authentic and valid documents as any false declarations or cases of forgery shall not be taken lightly.
Steps Of Application for FUTMINNA Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form
First, Note that all Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 via the REMITA payment platform as a mandatory fee.
For Both DE/UTME Candidates
- After accessing the University’s Portal through the Link above
- Click on “2023/2024 UPASE”
- On the next page that pops up, click on ‘UPASE- DE/UTME Login.’
- Up next, Enter your JAMB registration number as required.
- Input one of your names.
- Then Click on ‘Login’.
- Next, Upload your ‘O’ level result. If you are using two sittings, upload them as required also
- All Direct Entry candidates should also upload their Higher level result(s) at this stage
- If your UTME/’O’ level combination of subjects does not correspond with the laid down minimum requirements for the course you registered with JAMB, select any other course of your choice from the drop-down list of Departments.
- Click on ‘Proceed to payment gateway‘.
- Cross-check your entries and Confirm when satisfied
- Click on the ‘payment link‘ button to continue to the payment section.
- You can either make your payment online through your Debit Card or physically at an approved Bank Branch. Note that you must generate the RRR Number via the REMITA Website firstly before going ahead to make the payment.
- Also, Master Card Debit Cards are the most preferred choice of Debit Card for payment. Only Verve Cards that are online-payment-enabled can be used for this payment.
- If you are paying with your ATM Card, enter your Debit card details. These include your Debit Card number, expiry date, CVV (the 3 digits printed on
- the back of your ATM card), and Debit Card Pin as will be required of you
You will receive an on-screen notification of the success or failure of your payment. - If payment is successful, proceed and Click on the ‘Print’ button to print your payment Receipt.
Key Facts To Note About The FUTMINNA Post-UTME Screening
All kinds of electronic gadgets such as phones, calculators, and programmable watches as well as other devices are not allowed into the venue of Screening.
To be eligible to apply for this Admission Screening Exercise, you must have reached a minimum age of 16 years or above
To stay informed of any latest updates as per the Screening Exercise or any of the Admission Processes, register only with your valid personal mobile number and email address.
Information can be disseminated through any of these channels to all Candidates
Failure to upload your O’Level Certificates to the Official JAMB website means that you may not be considered for Admission into the University
You can register for the Screening Exercise from any location so there is no need to come to the school for the registration. Register online from your current location.
Every eligible Candidate is encouraged to go to their scheduled venue for the Screening Exercise on time. Late coming is prohibited and all latecomers risk disqualification.
If you had selected the University as your second choice Institution, you are advised to go ahead and change it to your First choice Institution. If you do not change it, you will not be considered for Admission into the University as it accepts only First Choice entries.

FUTMINNA’s Post-UTME Test runs for 30 minutes during which you are expected to attempt 40 questions.
10 questions from each of the four subjects with each question worth 10 marks.
Would I be considered for Admission at FUTMINNA if I fail post-UTME?
FUTMINNA takes its Post-UTME Screening Exercise very seriously. As such, if you fail this exercise, you shall not be considered for Admission into FUTMINNA.
In this case, it does not matter what you scored in your JAMB Exams.
Would Calculators be permitted in FUTMINNA’s Post UTME Screening?
