About The Nigerian College of Accountancy

Following the International Federation of Accounting Standard, The Nigerian College of Accountancy (NCA), is a training organ of the Association of National Accounts of Nigeria (ANAN). The institution is located in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and was founded in 1994. It has Dr. FRIDAY E. AKPAN PhD, FCNA, as the Director General of the organization.

  2. Full-Time Program
  3. Mature Program

Conversion Programs

Are you a candidate who wants to apply for the conversion program of NCA? See how this program is run.

Conversion Program Duration

Professionals from allied accounting courses will have to attend a 9-month intensive course program.

Lecture Venues

Students of this program will be attending lectures both at the college and other lecture centers designed by the school management.

Full-Time Programs

If you applying for a full-time program, this is how your program will be run at the college.

Duration for Full-Time Program

For applicants who want to run a full-time program at the college, it will take them about a 9-month intensive course program to complete their accounting courses.

Full-Time Program Lecture Venues

Students who apply for the Full-Time Program program will be attending lectures both at the college and other lecture centers designed by the school management.

Minimum Attendance

In a full-time program, there is a minimum attendance for all the students. However, students should take note that they are expected to reach a minimum attendance of 75% in the program, and this is compulsory for all students.

Mature Programs

If you don’t apply for either conversion programs or full-time programs, you may like to apply for mature programs. And if you apply for a mature program, this is what your program schedule will look like.

Duration for Full-Time Program

For applicants who choose to run their course under the mature program level at the college, their course will last for about 21 months of intensive course program to complete their accounting studies.

Mature Programs Lecture Venues

Their lectures will be done in any lecturing room s available across the college, and any other lecture halls that are assigned for them.

Admission Requirements

As an applicant for the Nigerian College of Accountancy, you will not just be offered admission like that because you want to study in the college, you have to meet the requirements of the school, and the qualification for admission are listed here. 

However, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Accounting 
  • The degree must come from a recognized and NUC-accredited Nigerian University. It could also be from an approved University overseas.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy 
  • The HND must come from an NBTE-accredited Nigerian Polytechnic. It could be an approved Polytechnic from the overseas

Important Note: If you are a candidate from an oversea university or Polytechnic, you are required to present your academic transcripts, which will be signed by the registrar of the school attended. Moreso, candidates with a B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Banking and Finance, and allied courses, are qualified to apply for the conversion programs.

How Much is the Form? 

Before you apply for admission, you have to first obtain the application form, and you obtain the form online or physically at their offices/outlets in all 36 states of the nation. Applicants who are ready to apply for the Nigerian College of Accountancy have to pay the sum of N20,000 (Twenty thousand naira) only to the school account. 

How to Apply for the Form

There are two different ways of applying for admission to the school.

  • We have the online application
  • And the physical application.

Online Application

To apply for admission at the school using the online method, you have to visit the institution’s official website at https://www.anancollege.org.ng/. They are to provide the following information

  • Their complete names, email, and phone number. 
  • Complete the filling of the application form
  • Submit all the needed credentials 
  • And then submit their application

Physical Application

How do you apply through the physical application method? Alternatively, if you wish to apply for admission at the school using the physical application method, you have to visit the institution’s office at The Nigerian College of Accountancy, that is ANAN National Headquarters, at Ahmadu Bello Way, Abuja. But if you are not staying close to Abuja, you can visit the nearest ANAN office around your state and submit it, from there it will be forwarded to Abuja.

  Follow these steps:

  • At the office, you will obtain the form
  • Fill out the form with complete names, email, and phone numbers. 
  • Go there with all the necessary credentials 
  • Attach all the needed credentials to the application form 
  • And then submit them to the appropriate persons in charge.

The management of The Nigerian College of Accountancy (NAC), has not fixed the deadline for the application, and if they do we will let you know about it.
