Types of OET Exams

Speaking,
This is a part of the test that is meant to test the student’s ability to communicate effectively with people in the area where they work. The section will last for 20 minutes.
Listening,
Here, recording audio about professional healthcare is played for the candidate to listen and understand what is discussed in the audio, and respond to questions. It will take about 45 minutes to complete this section.
Reading,
Candidates in this place, are given a test to read, o ascertain their ability to understand what they have read. In this section, candidates are given 60 minutes for the test.

Prospective candidates for the examination in Nigeria are to pay the sum of N148,000.
Requirements for Registration
To register for your occupational English Test, you need the following requirements:
- Color photo with white background
- No more than three months old
- Your photo should be Saved in jpeg format with a file size between 20 and 200 KB
- Show only the head
- The photo should be sharp and not blurred, pixelated
- No smiling or frowning, the expression should be neutral
- A valid email address
- A passport or National ID is needed as your valid ID
- Meet the Passport-size requirements of OET photo
- Visa or Mastercard credit card

Work Experience
Some and not all healthcare councils require that applicants have a certain level of work experience.

Testing accommodation requires supporting documents that are duly signed by your health specialist, such documents include:
- Evidence of disability/impairment that substantially limits a major life activity,
- The present situation of your disability/impairment and how it does not allow you to take the test under standard conditions
