Coastal Polytechnic Admission Requirements for Higher National Diploma (HND).
Direct entry is an admission process that allows students who have obtained a certificate, say diploma to gain admission into any higher institution, but without taking the first-year courses, and the applicant will have to start his or her program from year two, that is (200 Level) instead of one (100 level).
If the candidate is offered admission, they have to continue their studies in a related field to what they were studying in their ND programs.
Here are the requirements for those that want to get admission into the school through direct entry.
- Candidates for National Diploma must be age 16 and above
- They must have SSCE with at least 5 credit passes in their O’Level results, either in the WACE, NECO, GCE, or others, English Language and Mathematics must be included.
- Candidates must ensure that their O’Level results do not exceed two sittings
- Direct entry applicants have to obtain an ND, NCE, A’Level, and any other certificates that are acceptable from reputable institutions
- Candidates are required to purchase the JAMB direct entry form
- They have presented their transcript, especially those that are coming from other tertiary institutions.
- The applicants must have at least an upper credit pass CGPA in their ND programs
- The applicant must show proof that they have attended at least twelve months of industrial attachment, and experience.
