FEPA was founded in 1988, by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA).

 Today it is no longer called FEPA, but rather Federal Ministry of Environment.  The new name was changed and started having effect from September 1999.

Protecting, restoring, and preserving the ecosystem of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is the main aim of this agency.

FEPA has six offices, according to the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

When the list of recruitment is finally released, you will check your name in the list of shortlisted candidates and you will need to follow the right steps to get your desired results.

  • Log into FEMA’s official shortlisted portal at www.environment.gov.ng
  • Scroll down the page
  • Select Shortlisted Candidates
  • Click on View Full List
  • Allow the page to load
  • After that, a new page will appear
  • Scroll down for your name in the list
  • After seeing your name
  • Click on the download button

Is the FEPA shortlisted candidates list out?

For now, there are no official press releases from the agency, confirming that the shortlisted candidate’s names have been released or published, however, candidates are advised to visit the official portal of the agency for confirmation.

If the list is not yet out, when will it be out?

The date for the publishing of the shortlisted candidate’s names has not been fixed or stated by the ministry, so every candidate has to wait till it is finally out.

Does the agency have branches or offices in all 36 states of the country?

Although the agency does not have offices scattered all over the country, but is has zonal offices in the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

Documents Required

If your name is on the list, as you reporting for training, you will need to go over some important documents such as:

  • Writing materials.
  • Certificate of birth or age declaration.
  • Certificate of state of origin.
  • Academic qualifications.
  • Online submission form printout.
  • Guarantors’ forms.
  • Voter’s card or driving license, etc.
  • Passport photographs.

Will the ministry conduct screening again for all the shortlisted candidates? 

Yes, all the candidates whose names are in the shortlisted list, will be screened to ascertain the originality of the credentials that they submitted to the agency during application online.

If I did not find the name in the shortlisted list, what would I do?

If you did not find your name in the shortlisted list of candidates, it means you didn’t qualify, and there’s nothing you can do about it, you will have to wait till they conduct another recruitment.

Will the shortlist be released based on the state level?

No, the ministry is owned by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and as such the list will be released for all states in the country. The states involved are listed in the table below;
