Is it true that JAMB pays the CBT centers that they use for the registration of UTME candidates?
Yes, it is true. Since JAMB owns its own and does not have enough halls or centers for conducting the exam, it has decided to select some well-equipped centers from private.
During the JAMB UTME, is the center where I register for my examination that I will sit and write the exam?
That fact that you register your UTME at a particular JAMB CBT center say, MR. Atu CBE center does not mean that during the writing of the exam, you will also be posted there.
So how will I know the center that I am posted to for my examination?
That one is not a problem, if you registered with Mr A, you can be posted to Mr. B, and to know your examination venue, you will log into the official site of JAMB, and print the examination slip
What requirements are CBT owners supposed to meet before their centers can be approved by JAMB for UTME?
There are many private individuals that JAMB is using their centers for UTME, and if you want JAMB to use your own CBT center, then you must meet the following requirements:
- 250 functional computer systems
- Well-trained technical personnel,
- Provide adequate power supply,
- Strong internet connectivity,
- And a conducive environment for exams,
- And some other requirements are needed.
- Provision for internal toilets inside the CBT hall
- The center must be adequately fenced.
- Provision for holding room or reception facility
- There must be adequate canopies, with chairs,
- The center must be close to a rowdy environment
