Background of the Nigerian Army University
The Nigerian Army University was established in 2018. The burden of the leader of the university was first on the shoulder of the first approved Vice AChancellor, Prof. David Iliya Malgwi. But on March 2020, Prof. Kyari Mohammed was approved as the Vice Chancellor of the University. So right now Prof. Kyari Mohammed remains the VC of the institution.
The mission of NUAB is to develop highly skilled military and civilian manpower who can combat and bring solutions to problems of the NA, the military and the nation with distinct competency using sophisticated technological know-how, while her vision is to address the challenges of the NA, the military as well as the nation, becoming a solution centre in technology, research and development, thereby creating room for people to become self-reliant, creative and innovative.
The university is located in Biu Bornu state. It is a mixture of 75% military, 25% civilian and paramilitary composition. NAUB UTME Admission Requirements
If you have the intention of applying for the Nigerian Army University, there are certain requirements you have to meet as a JAMB UTME candidate. And the requirements are as follows:
Applicants must have at least 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE)
The said SSCE should not be more than 2 sittings.
- For any course you want to study, you must ensure that you choose the correct JAMB subject combination.
- The minimum score candidates are required to score is 180 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination for them to be considered for the offer of admission into the Nigerian Army University Biu.
- You must choose NAUB as your First Choice of Institution during your UTME.
- To be considered for admission, for any course chosen by candidates, they must take part in the NAUB POST UTME/screening exercise
- The minimum age for qualification for NAUB is 16 years and above. anyone that is less than that will not be accepted
- For some programmes, additional requirements may apply but you have to meet the general requirements first before you can move to those additional requirements
NAUB Direct Entry Admission Requirements
If you have the intention of applying for the Nigerian Army University, there are certain requirements you have to meet as a Direct Entry candidate. And the requirements are as follows:

- All the Direct entry candidates are required to buy the NAUB Direct Entry form through the JAMB and NAUB Portal also.
