According to NUC, Gombe State University can start running the newly approved programs beginning from the 2023/2024 academic session.

Accounting Education not Accredited by NUC

It is true that NUC has approved a series of programs at Gombe State University, but at the same time, there was an exception for Accounting Education. NUC did not approve this course, the reaction to the courses was a result of the university’s inability to reach the NUC Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) benchmark.

The fact is that the university is not currently teaching the said accounting education even as a course in the school. However, (NUC) advised the university to apply for the course as a B.Sc. Business Education program.

New Programs not Available for Part-Time

This is to let you know that the newly approved programs do not cover part-time programs, it is only for full-time programs.

Domiciliation of Courses

In addition action to what the NUC has advised the University to do, it also added that University domiciles of the B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics program in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
