General Requirements for Admission Into Mechanical Engineering Programme
To gain admission into the discipline, aspirants must have at least five credit passes in either their O level, SSCE, NECO, or GCE. These should include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and either Further Mathematics, Technical drawing, or Biology.
JAMB UTME subjects combination for mechanical engineering are English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Candidates applying through direct entry are admitted into the 200 or 300 levels respectively and must meet the standard requirements listed below;
- Two A’level passes in at least two subjects which must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- OND with upper credit.
- It’s also required that the applicant under this category must have NCE Technical and HND with a minimum of lower credit in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized institution.
Note all the above qualifications must be in addition to the UTME entry-level requirement mentioned earlier.
