The second school of nursing that is also cheap and affordable for prospective nursing students to apply to, is the School of Nursing Amachara, Umuahia, Abia State, located in the southeastern part of Nigeria. The nursing school, Umuahia, was established by a joint effort of missionaries of the Presbyterian church, Methodist Church, and the Anglican Church in 1955, alongside the former Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
