NOUN Post UTME Screening Form For 2023/2024 Application Updates

NOUN Post UTME Screening Form –  At the National Open University of Nigeria, JAMB is not required in order to get admitted into any of its undergraduate programs.

Nonetheless, an Internal Exam is conducted by the University and a candidate can only be considered for Admission into any of the University’s Academic Programmes upon success at this screening examination.

This precedes the university’s screening exercise which takes place at the University’s designated study centers spread across the 36 states of Nigeria plus the FCT.

The cost of purchase of NOUN’s admission forms is variable depending on the type of academic Programme intended.

While the Undergraduate Admission Form costs N5,000, the Post Graduate Admission forms go for N7,500 only. 

The Admission form for Ph.D. programs, however, goes for N10,000 only.

The Official date has not yet been set for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise of the National Open University of Nigeria

All eligible candidates shall be notified when the dates have been set for the Screening Exercise through appropriate channels.

NOUN Post UTME & DE Screening Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to participate in the Screening Exercise, all candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • They must have registered their profile in the Official NOUN Admission Portal.
  • Candidates must have obtained at least 5 relevant O’Level credit passes, (Mathematics and English Language inclusive) in a number of sittings not exceeding two. This applies to both DE and UTME Candidates
  • Possession of at least a Lower Credit graded National Diploma in a relevant course and a minimum of 8 points with an appropriate subject combination at NCE and IJMB for candidates seeking Direct Entry (DE) Admission.

Also, ensure that you provide only authentic and valid documents as any false declarations or cases of forgery shall not be taken lightly.

Steps Of Application for NOUN Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form

To successfully register for NOUN’s 2023/2024 Post-UTME Form, follow the following steps:

  • First, visit the University’s Admission Portal at www.nouonline.net
  • Locate the menu bar on the Home Page, then click on “Apply for Admission”
  • Select your preferred Academic Programme type (Postgraduate or Undergraduate). Other programs besides these two are not currently available.
  • Navigate to “Choose Faculty” ( this can be found on the screen’s left-hand side)
  • Select your preferred Faculty
  • Complete the form that is displayed at this point
  • Next, click below to access the Admission criteria as per the chosen program and faculty.
  • To proceed, Click “Apply”
  • Kindly take notice of the UNIQUE ID displayed at this stage
  • Choose Bank Branch as the preferred payment type
  • Click “Pay”
  • Note down your RRR Number and proceed with it to any Bank Branch for payment.

After Successful Payment

  • Re-login to the University’s Admission Portal at www.nouonline.net
  • Locate the menu bar on the Home Page, then click on “Apply for Admission”
  • Select your preferred Academic Programme type (Postgraduate or Undergraduate). Other programs besides these two are not currently available.
  • Locate and click on “Continue After Payment”
  • Input your RRR Number, Unique ID, and Academic Programme
  • Click on “Proceed
  • Complete the accompanying form at this stage and note that all fields marked with a red asterisk are compulsory 

After Filling out the Application Form

Click “Submit

Print out your Admission Letter

Proceed for Admission screening at the study center nearest to you 

Key Facts To Note About The NOUN Post-UTME Screening

Also, be sure to submit a valid phone number and email address as the University shall not be held responsible for any unsuccessful applications arising from invalid phone number(s) or email address(es)

Every eligible Candidate is encouraged to go to the study center nearest to them (screening venue) on time. Late coming is not welcome.

To put this in perspective, a student must acquire a minimum of 120 credits to be awarded a Bachelor’s Degree, 90 Credits for a Post-Graduate Diploma, 60 credits for a Diploma, 35 credits for a certificate, and 70 credits for a Master’s Degree.
