Is the 2023 NECO Result Out?
This is to inform all the candidates who took part in the just concluded 2023/2024 National Examination Council (NECO) has released the 2023 NECO result.
Students who took the examination can now log into the official website of NECO and check their results.
Summary of the 2023 NECO Result
The summary of the examination is shown as follows:
- 61.60 percent scored five credits, (English and Mathematics inclusive)
- 12,030, representing 0.07 percent, in this year’s examination
- While 13,594, represent 0.13 percent in 2022.
- According to the report given by the body, 1,205,888 candidates registered for the examination, but only 1,196,9 candidates for the examination.
How to Log into the NECO Website
Before you check your NECO result, you have to first log into the official website of NECO, and this is how you can do that:
- Click on the NECO official link at https://results.neco.gov.ng/login
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- And click on the log-in button

NECO Results Checking Procedures 2023
In this section, I will use two methods to explain to you how you can check your NECO result
Method one
This is a method that will be used by those who already purchased their NECO result token.
Method two
This is a method that will be used by those who are using the purchased account to check their NECO result.

Method one
If you have already bought your token, these are the steps you will follow to check your result:
- The user already purchased the token
- Visit results.neco.gov.ng
- Enter your token
- Enter your examination number
- Select your examination year
- And enter your examination type.
- Click on the “Check my result” button
- View your result
Method two
If you have not bought your token, these are the steps you will follow to check your result:
- Purchased token using an account
- Visit results.neco.gov.ng to create an account
- Log in and buy a token
- To use the token, click on my token (it will redirect you to the management page of your token).
- Use a token (from the page, select the token that you would like to use).
- On the corresponding token, click Check result
- Enter your examination number
- Select your examination year
- And enter your examination type.
- Click on the “Check my result” button
- View your result
NECO Examination Grading System
This is how your result is graded by NECO so that after you have checked it, you will know what it stands for, whether you failed or passed.
- 0 to 39% – failure (F9)
- 40 to 45% – STILL FAILURE (E8)
- 50 to 54% – Credit (C6)
- 55 to 59% – Credit (C5)
- 60 to 64% – Credit (C4)
- 65 to 69% – Good (B3)
- 70 to 74% – Very Good (B2)
- 75 to 100% – Excellent (A1)
