This is to inform all interested suitably qualified international students from all over the world that the McCall MacBain Scholarship form for the 2023 session has been released and interested applicants are invited to come and apply for the scholarship.
Who Can Participate in the Scholarship?
Is it everybody that can apply for the scholarship? The scholarship is open to all international students while approximately two-thirds of it is meant for Canadian indigenes, and the remaining one-third is for other international students.
Eligibility Criteria
You must meet ONE of the following criteria, to be eligible to apply for our 2024 cohort,
- You are about to earn your first bachelor’s degree by August 2024
- Your first bachelor’s degree was earned in the last five years (January 2018 or later)
- A bachelor’s degree more than five years ago, (i.e. first bachelor’s degree)
- You must be 30 years or younger in 2023
- You must meet the minimum degree requirements
- You must meet the language requirements for McGill master’s program admission.
Scholarship Prize/Awards
How will the award be given to the recipient and who will be a beneficiary of this award?
McCall MacBain has Ten fully-funded Scholarships to offer to all interested applicants.
After the application windows have been closed, the committee in charge of the scholarship will give different awards to different recipients in the following categories:
- Twenty-five finalist awards, each worth $20,000
- fifteen regional awards, each valued at $10,000
Scholarship Coverage
About 150 eligible master’s programs at McGill University will be awarded this scholarship.
What does the Scholarship Cover? The McCall MacBain Scholarship does not just cover the tuition fees of the receipts, but it also covers the following areas listed below:
- Tuition and fees coverage for one to all recipients
- Every month during academic terms, a living stipend of $2,000 will be given to awardees
- For a smooth transition to the university, a relocation grant
- Summer funding options will also be given to the students
- For academic and personal development, there will be access to mentors, advisors, and coaching.
