About Grundtvig Polytechnic
Grundtvig Polytechnic is a private Polytechnic owned by the Grundtvig Movement of Nigeria (GMN), it was founded by the owner of the movement Dr. Kachi E. Ozumba (1942-2011). The institution is located in Anambra State.
After all, was said and done, the polytechnic was offered full approval and recognition by the National Board for Technical E-education ( NBTE) and the Federal Ministry of Education to operate in 2019. It, therefore, means that the polytechnic was officially commenced in 2019.
The movement was established as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and non-profit movement, that was fully registered by the Federal government of Nigeria. The polytechnic is part and parcel of the network of the movement that is all over the globe.
The Polytechnic offers admission to students into certificate programs, National Diploma, and Higher National Diploma respectively. The establishment of the institution is a result of the traditional philosophy of Bishop N.F.S. Grundtvig of Denmark.

Admission Requirements for Higher National Diploma
What are the requirements that applicants for Higher National Diploma are to meet?
As an aspiring student of the Grundtvig Polytechnic, seeking admission into this institution, you are meant to meet certain admission requirement criteria, for Higher National Diploma before you will be qualified for admission at the institution.
The following are the requirements that you have to meet for you to be considered for admission;
- Candidates must have at least 5 O’Level credits in NECO, GCE, SSCE
- You must have English Language and Mathematics credits
- The results should not exceed two sittings
- You must sit for JAMB and your JAMB score must reach the required cut-off mark of JAMB.
- You must also choose Grundtvig Polytechnic as your first choice
- Candidates must reach the age of 16 years and above
- Those from other schools, not Grundtvig Polytechnic, has to present their academic transcript.
- They have to obtain JAMB direct entry form from the JAMB portal
- Evidence of their one-year industrial attachment has to be shown
- One year of work experience is needed.
