EDSU is a state-owned University that was founded in 2016. The institution is located in Iyamho, of Etsako West local government area of Edo State.

This scholarship is sponsored by the government of Edo State, through the Ministry of Education of Education of the state.
The scholarship is in two categories one for all undergraduate students and the other for indigent students of the state alone, that means, you must be an indigene of Edo State for you to be eligible for that one.
If you are not a citizen of Edo State, you can apply for the full undergraduate scholarship.

The EDSU scholarship award is divided into two categories, they are:
1. Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award,
Duration:
It will last throughout the study period of your program.
Eligibility Criteria:
Those applying for this scholarship must choose Edo State University (EDSU) as their first choice institution.
Score Requirement:
For you to apply, you must have a minimum UTME score of 260.
Slots Available:
In all of these, it is only five students that will stand out, that will be awarded.
2. Indigent Students Scholarship Award
Scholarship Award:
There are 100 scholarships that are available in this particular scholarship, category, for indigent students.

In this scholarship, students who are selected will be awarded their tuition fees for their respective programs.
Eligibility Criteria:
This scholarship is for indigenes who score of 180 in their UTME and must be from Edo State.
Scholarship Requirements
Only those who meet the requirements for the scholarship will be awarded, and here are the requirements for the scholarship:
- You must be an indigene of Edo State, for the second category
- You must be an undergraduate student of EDSU to be qualified for the first category.
- You must have good grades.
- Students in Higher Institutions University, Polytechnics, and College of Education must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0
- Must undergo screening processes, with your credentials duly verified.
- Applicants must be English Proficient, and competent in written and spoken English.

Successful candidates who apply for the scholarship will receive a scholarship worth the school fees of the students and other academic expenses.
However, the amount is not fixed and it varies too.
