About Cut-off Marks
One may ask what is cut-off mark. And what is the difference between the general cut-off mark and the departmental cut-off marks?
Let us start with the meaning of the cut-off mark. The cut-off mark is an agreed set of score that a particular University and JAMB has agreed to serve as a standard for measuring who qualifies for admission into the tertiary University in Nigeria.
The general cut-off mark is the mark that every candidate is expected to score to be qualified for a University’s Post UTME screening exercise, while on the other hand, the departmental cut-off mark is a score that is set by a particular department of the University to access if the students are worthy to be accepted for that course not.

The general cut-off mark that qualifies all candidates to be eligible to take part in the 2023/2024 Post UTME screening exercise at Ritman University is set at 140. So any student whose score reaches that number is qualified to obtain the Post UTME form for the exercise.
However, those whose scores are below are advised not to buy the form, because they will not be offered admission, considering the fact that their score did not reach the acceptable score. They are to wait till subsequent time, as they make plans to write another JAMB.
